REGISTERING A SCHOOL
Before individual delegates can register for SMUSMUN, a sponsor teacher from their school must submit the School Registration Form. There are no fees associated with school registration and no spots at the conference are reserved through the process.
SMUSMUN requires a sponsor teacher to register their school for multiple reasons. Most importantly, when a sponsor teacher registers, they confirm that their students will have a teacher chaperone. This also verifies that delegates have received school permission to attend the conference. As registration progresses, sponsor teachers will receive a list of all delegates registered under their school.
REGISTERING AS A DELEGATE
Before an individual delegate can register, their school must be registered as described above. In the delegate registration form, delegates will have the opportunity to, among other things, request country and committee assignments. Prior to registration, delegates should peruse the available committees and their difficulties, as well as the country matrix.
Make sure that you read the committee pages and country matrix before choosing your country and committee preferences and submitting the Delegate Registration form.
All delegates will pay via their school. Please ask your teacher sponsor how your school plans on paying but you do not have to bring any money yourself to the conference. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact smusmunsecretariat@gmail.com.
CONFERENCE FEES
The delegate fee is $30 and includes delegate materials and (a meal). Financial aid may be available on a case by case basis. For more information, please email smusmunsecretariat@gmail.com

One of our core values at St. Michaels University School is respect. With this in mind, we acknowledge that our school rests in the heart of Straits Salish territory, a living culture with its own rites, ceremonies, and unfolding history. We honour the Esquimalt, Songhees, and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples – whose homelands we share and whom we recognize as our neighbours.
